The asexual cycle of Volvox is illustrated a-h with the formation of a coenobium or daughter colony.  The sexual cycle is oogamous and haplontic (i-n).  Sperm formation (i-k) is followed by the release of the sperm packet, which finds the stationary egg (l-m).  They fust to form the zygote (n).
