SUBKINGDOM MASTIGOMYCOTINA

At present, this subkingdom has a single phylum, Chytridiomycota.  The chytrids occupy a phylum the bridges the protists and the other Fungi.  They are the only group of fungi that produce motile cells at any stage of their life history.

CLASS BLASTOCLADIOMYCETES

ORDER ALLOMYCALES (BLASTOCLADIALES)

Allomyces, Blastocladiella, Blastocladia, Blastocladiopsis, Catenaria, Microallomyces.

ORDER SPIZELLOMYCETALES:  

Spizellomyces.
