Bulimia Nervosa

Bulimia is a chronic eating disorder characterized by binge eating and then trying to avoid weight gain.  Individuals with bulimia secretly eat large quantities of food and then try to avoid weight gain by inducing vomiting, using laxatives, and taking diuretics.  They may also fast in order to compensate for the large amount of food they consume in a short period of time.
